This is an ad I clicked on Facebook this morning:

Which brings this mess up (click the image for a larger image — you will not be taken to their site)

It’s just a scam thing. They’re selling Adobe Photoshop CS5 “Extended” (whatever that is) for $150. Adobe sells it for $699.
The title element for the webpage says “Authorized Adobe Store” and their icon that shows on the browser tab is the Adobe logo, almost.
I like this statement on the site: Legitimate Companies Always List a Phone Number and will answer your call or promptly return your call.”
Ok, these guys SUCK, but that’s not what I’m writing about.

This “everything has got to be free” atmosphere on the Internet is ridiculous and dangerous.

Payment for labor should be as direct as possible. When we put off getting paid until later, the result is bad.

Facebook was expensive to build and now it feels pressure to sell ads to anyone in order to support its dead weight.

The solution is, of course, joeDesktop.
