I was going to rest today, but I’m writing great stuff.

I just had the most awesome Mother’s Day conversation with Rona Hunter — Happy Mother’s day. Who am I going to call next? I want to call Wendy Winett Costello, but I’m kind of on a cousin kick. I haven’t talked to these people with my voice in years. Voices work SO WELL compared to typing.

    • Joe Winett No, Wendy is important to me… I’m not going to be able to make a lot of calls… It’s getting hot outside and my phone doesn’t work inside.

    • Joe Winett One of these days I will have my own phone line again. I’m going to make my peace with AT&T. It’s going to cost me like $900.

    • Joe Winett And then I can be friends again with my friendly neighborhood global telecommunications giant.

    • Joe Winett Whom I love DEARLY. I love TELEPHONES and switches. It’s one of my favorite things… calls… press this.. hangup now. I LOVE PHONES.

    • Joe Winett ‎..and, strangely, I’ve shy about talking on the phone.

    • Joe Winett ‎..because sometimes I can’t speak… but now I can

    • Joe Winett I’m. See, I don’t make grammar mistakes when I speak. Very often anyway

    • Joe Winett I loved it too. I used to love talking on the phone… I’ve not done it in years, really. People talking on phones in front of me is irritating, but I’m getting used to it.

    • Joe Winett ‎… that was a manners thing my Mother taught me… and I think it’s a good manner to have — paying attention to the people who are in your company. But, the people who split their attention don’t mean anything by it, so I’ve learned to roll along and my life in my head is a lot more peaceful — LEARNING TO LIVE WITH THE WORLD INSTEAD OF TRYING TO CHANGE THE WORLD. Changing the world is possible, but it takes lifetimes… You can make that sort of investment… lifetimes… but you can’t make someone in the world do exactly what you want right now. It’s best if you’re just cool with everything that doesn’t complete suck.

    • Joe Winett Completely. I’m not perfect. Yet.

    • Joe Winett I hope I’m never perfect.

    • Joe Winett Imagine being “God” and alone and perfect. Perfect SUCKS. The peacock doesn’t sit and look at his feathers all day. They’re sweet… but they’re getting him laid. Perfect probably gets laid a lot. Ok, being perfect doesn’t suck. Being perfect is boring. God is boring. No, God was BORED. So he has you!!! DANCE MONKEY!!
