Tumblr and the Founding Fathers

[11:08:31 AM] Joe Winett: Tumblr is another brilliant idea. Those guys can’t be making very much money, if any. They make a commission on themes, I think.

BUT way back when, when I started this dreaming,
I realized that it was the free exchange of information that would set people free.

Actually, the Founding Fathers of the United States realized that as well, but now we’re at a stage where we don’t need a press machine and we don’t need to stand out in the town square (which people are reluctant to do)… But people will anonymously say what they want. I, of course, think of Design.

[11:09:21 AM] Joe Winett: In other words, I think the inalienable rights and the ideas all came from the same place. Those guys were smart, but not that THAT smart.

[11:10:13 AM] Steve: I have to agree with that one….

[11:10:40 AM] Joe Winett: And I’m not this smart. In fact, I have trouble latching a gate.

Read into this what you like.  Joe Winett wasn’t there in the beginning, but part of all of us designed this whole mess.  🙂
