PayPal: SUCK ON GOOGLE WALLET

http://jasonsavard.com/

That’s right.  I made a donation to Jason Savard because I’m using his excellent Chrome extension, Checker Plus for Gmail…

Given the choice between PayPal and Google Wallet, I decided to set up a Google Wallet account rather than type my debit card number into PayPal… because PAYPAL SUCKS.  I’m doing the best I can to NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER help any online operator integrate with PayPal… AGAIN.  EVER.  PAYPAL SUCKS.

There are blog posts on here somewhere detailing my reasons.  But, I just like adding “PayPal Sucks” to the search engine weight of that keyphrase.

Oh, I could say something positive about Wallet.

— Google has a blind authorization thing like Open Auth through which the vendor requests the funds.

— Then a dialog box is displayed asking you to confirm your purchase and the source of the funds.

I just put in my debit card.

Google debited by card for the donation and paid Jason his portion (less a discount, of course, which Google spends on cake).

And, best of all, I didn’t have to make a “enter your debit card number” transaction with Paypal…

OH OH, I don’t have a WORKING Paypal account.  I still have one, which they’ve deactivated, for reasons they’re not willing to disclose to me, and about which they send me email from time to time to notify me of PayPal policy changes, which do not apply to me, because, as they informed me on the phone, “PayPal chooses to no longer do business with you, Mr. Winett.”

Jason Savard : Good

Google : Probably Not Evil

PayPal: Meanies.
