These Minnesota Democrats Get It Done

“The Minnesota Legislature just completed what is probably the most productive session anywhere in the country since probably the New Deal,” he said. “Sweeping bills and reforms across every area of life.”

Here’s a list of some of what they’ve accomplished in the State of Minnesota over this session:

  • 20-weeks of paid family and medical leave for every worker
  • school meals for all public and charter school students
  • legalization of marijuana for recreational use
  • made state law codifying Roe v. Wade
  • legal protections for transgender youths who receive gender-affirming care
  • set minimum wage for Uber and Lyft drivers

The party’s achievements in Minnesota, said pro-workers’ rights media organization More Perfect Union, should “set the precedent for state governments across the country.”
